A good friend of us, Martin Pötter, collected some pictures due to his studies of photo journalism at the university of Hannover. He was focusing on the topic „Young people in Lower Saxony“ and accompanied us in daily life for two months. It was great fun with him and we think he took some great shots!

Last weekend Ruben started at the German Youth Championship in Frankenthal near Frankfurt. It was this year’s last German Youth Cup and simultaneously the final round for the overall result of the German Youth Championship. Ruben felt pretty good after two weeks holidays at home and could start the competition in good shape. In the final Ruben almost toped out the route and became German Youth Champion. The same did Lena Hermann in the juniors female and Lars Hoffmann made a very good 3rd place in youth A male. So there was a great success for the northern German Climbing Team!

On last Sunday, on the way back home from the German Lead Cup in Ingolstadt, David was able to climb „Masters of the Universe“ 8c+, a new route by Markus Bock at the Universum near Pottenstein (Frankenjura). Reports:

8a.nu : 8c+ by David Firnenburg (17) David Firnenburg has done Master of Universe, 8c+ in Frankenjura. „8a traverse, then rest point, followed by powerful moves through a roof with crux at the edge. New route by Markus Bock. You’d better call it Masters of the wasp attacks 
Attention: wasps‘ nest in the run-out!“ The 17 year old did his first 9a last year and his first 8c+ in 2010.
